Our data approach
COMPIO is being designed to put the wearer in control of their information. The following principles guide development. Implementation and security testing remain ahead.
The wearer decides
Family, clinical, and emergency access are separate choices. The planned controls let you select recipients and information categories, review sharing, and revoke future access. Revoking access cannot recover copies another person has already received or downloaded.
A personal record on your phone
The companion phone is intended to hold the main encrypted personal health record. The watch would keep a smaller working set and limited emergency information. Some features will need authorized connections or relay services. Local storage does not mean every feature will work offline.
Help with clear limits
Companion is planned to use the context needed for a task, rather than unrestricted access to private records. Authentication, permissions, and audit controls will govern sensitive actions. These protections require implementation and independent testing.
Every value has a source
Watch measurements, connected-device readings, your confirmations, and clinical records should remain distinct. Values should show their source, measurement time, and freshness. Delayed information must not appear as live data.
Limited emergency sharing
A wearer-approved emergency profile may include a name, contacts, allergies, critical medications, selected conditions, and emergency location when enabled. It is not intended to expose payment details, unrelated private documents, or conversation history.
Testing before promises
Security, account recovery, and lost-device behavior need evidence before release. COMPIO does not claim completed security certification or blanket compliance with healthcare privacy rules.
